Biography

Justin is a director in 3i's UK growth capital business. His remit is to invest up to €250m in minority stakes in growing independent businesses, which are typically valued between €100m and €1bn . He leads 3i's minority investment activity in the UK consumer sector and, as a member of 3i's global consumer team, has a particular focus on branded consumer goods, retail and niche leisure.

Justin's involvement in the consumer sector includes the roll-outs of the Giraffe restaurant chain and Eat sandwich shops in the UK, Cafe y Te in Spain and Little Sheep in China. His investment recrod also covers successful exits at housebuilder Banner Homes, media monitoring business KBBI and staffing business Morgan McKinley, a private placing in Morse, the IT hardware/services company, the take-private of Faireview Homes and the buy-and-build at telecoms company Azzurri. He is currently a non-executive director at Giraffe Concepts (restaurants).

Justin has been with 3i for twelve years, including periods in the London buyout, growth capital and regional (Home Counties) markets. He spent ten years in a number of roles with HSBC before joining 3i. Justin is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has a degree in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University.
