3i has had a presence in South East Asia since 1997, with an office in Singapore. We manage an investment portfolio valued at $310m in Oil and Gas, Financial Services, Healthcare as well as funds in Japan and Korea.

3i-led $620m investment in Asia Capital Re, the first exclusively pan-Asia focused independent re-insurer, was awarded the 'Most Innovative Deal - Equity' by The Asset, one of Asia's leading financial magazines, in its Triple A House and Deal Awards 2006. Pearl Energy was our first investment in South East Asia to IPO in Singapore (April 2005) and Salamander was the first E&P business in three years to list on London’s main board (December 2006).
