Tarun Joshi


Tarun Joshi joined 3i in 2008 and focuses on private equity and infrastructure investing in India. Tarun sits on the board of BVG India Ltd, India’s largest facilities management services business. 

Tarun has over eight years of private equity experience. Prior to 3i, he worked at CVCI Private Equity, a leading emerging markets private equity firm. While at CVCI, he worked on investments in the Financial Services, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and Automotive sectors. In addition, Tarun has also worked for Citibank where he received the Citigroup Global Award for Excellence for designing the world's first biometric ATM. He has also previously worked with Defense Research and Development Organisation on designing India's first fighter aircraft.

Tarun holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He is also a national level player in badminton, tennis and squash.
